GSI Ceramica adds 5th SACMI ADM to machine fleet for production of washbasins and consoles

Latest investment further boosts GSI Ceramica’s production capacity to meet market demand in segment. As with previous machines installed, the new SACMI solution eliminates manual handling operations, thus increasing quality and production flow efficiency

GSI Ceramica has recently installed and successfully started up a new SACMI ADM pressure casting machine. Completed during the second half of 2023, this latest investment adds a 5th machine to the existing ADM solutions installed at the company’s production plant in Gallese (Vt) in the Civita Castellana district.

Part of the SACMI RobotCasting range of machines for the pressure casting of ceramic sanitaryware, the ADM has enjoyed much success on the market for the manufacture of heavy large-sized consoles and washbasins. The key distinguishing feature of the ADM single-mould casting machine is maximum versatility in the production of pieces using two-part moulds.

Manual work has been eliminated from all the handling operations; from casting to transfer to the SACMI pre-dryer, up to automatic green finishing of the piece before it is loaded on to the car for subsequent work processes.

Thanks to this investment, GSI Ceramica – a company synonymous with “Made in Italy” quality and design – has further increased its machine fleet to reach five ADMs currently running at the factory to satisfy market demand. The company’s strategy to steadily increase the level of automation throughout all stages of production is already achieving its objectives, with improved product quality and overall efficiency leading to optimized consistent control of the entire production flow.
