Akij Bangladesh starts up new SACMI AVM 150 solutions

New step in the project for the complete technological switch to SACMI high pressure casting at the Trishal factory.
4 new AVM 150 machines just started up for casting of complex monobloc WCs

Akij Bangladesh has invested in a plan for the complete technological switch to high pressure casting with SACMI machines for the manufacture of sanitaryware, and a further stage in the project has just been achieved at the production plant in Trishal.
Having already installed and started up the new AVB for casting simple WC bowls, Akij chose the AVM, SACMI’s renowned solution for the production of complex WCs. In particular, 4 new AVM 150 are now up and running at the Trishal factory for the manufacture of complex monobloc WCs cast with moulds having up to 7 parts.

Each pair of machines works in synergy with the robot which, in addition to handling all the casting operations, also deposits the piece inside the pre-dryer; the exclusive SACMI solution conceived to speed up the piece ageing process in a controlled environment, thus reducing energy consumption and space requirements. Piece loading onto cars for storage is carried out automatically with production output targets of around 8 pieces per hour, considering standard cycle times of not more than 30 minutes.

Each machine supplied has been equipped by SACMI with its own pressurized slip feed tank. All the production targets have been reached thanks to the constant and pro-active cooperation with the customer’s technical team, both for the installation and testing of the machines, as well as for the preparation of the models and moulds made according to the customer’s design.
