Ceramics 4.0 looks to new horizons as SACMI plays starring role in Hanoi

Titled “New Horizons in the Production of Ceramic Tiles”, the symposium, co-organised by SACMI and the Vietnam Building Ceramic Association (VIBCA), aims to illustrate the latest generation of 4.0 ceramic process management technologies.

The seminar will be attended by major players from local industry and held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hanoi, on 29th March 2019 at 2 p.m. New developments on the CONTINUA+ line – now even more powerful and flexible in terms of slab size and thickness – offer just an initial taste of a meeting that will touch on other subjects such as Deep Digital (complete digitalization of the glazing and decoration line) and also look at the latest generation of SACMI integrated-automation presses, from the PH10000 to the new PH16000, the biggest and most powerful in the category.

The event will also examine the cutting, polishing and lapping solutions SACMI provides in line with the press and look at a new-concept assembly-to-order semi-finished item magazine, designed to limit stocks and shorten time-to-market for new products. In this context, the synergy with BMR, a long-standing protagonist of this district, is pivotal.

Last but not least, Sacmi will present the latest innovation from Nuova Sima, the Sacmi Group's specialist in handling and logistics, and in particular the picking island with an innovative Gaiotto robot-controlled system that loads slabs into crates or on stands.
