In the agricultural machinery manufacturing industry, the challenge is to seize all the opportunities and advantages offered by total automation and Industry 4.0 logic. And Berti Macchine Agricole, which produces a vast range of some 500 models of farm machinery (such as mulchers, all at its long-standing facility in Caldiero, in the province of Verona), has risen to that challenge in full.
Thanks to close collaboration with SACMI-Gaiotto, Savim, Verind and Futura Convogliatori Aerei, this Verona-based company recently concluded an ambitious line upgrade and started up a complete, ultra-modern production plant. More specifically, Gaiotto supplied four GA25-P articulated painting robots, installed on linear movement axes.
The project’s success soon attracted the attention of the international IPCM – International Paint&Coating Magazine, with issue 54 publishing an in-depth article by Alessia Venturi on Berti's modernisation. The article highlighted the four Gaiotto robots, which are designed to operate in complete safety under very specific conditions (e.g. in explosive atmospheres) and comply fully with international Atex standards.
