The plant expansion and renewal project at Duravit Egypt - the most important facility in the area for the German multinational manufacturer of superbly designed, high quality sanitaryware - is proceeding apace. Recent weeks saw a new Gaiotto robotized glazing solution installed; this is the second such installation at this facility, located just outside Cairo.
The new robot, a GA2000, was installed on an existing line to boost performance during the robotized glazing of sanitaryware articles. Firstly, this latest purchase demonstrates the solidity of the global partnership between SACMI and the German multinational for the supply of comprehensive sanitaryware production, glazing and firing solutions (a fourth SACMI-Riedhammer kiln was recently installed in Cairo itself as part of the same plant modernisation/revamping plan).
Secondly, it underscores Gaiotto's reputation as a worldwide synonym for reliability, performance and user-friendliness in robotized glazing. A combination of advanced self-learning functions and off-line programming of glazing recipes makes the GA2000 the top-of-the-range glazing solution. The result: shorter time-to-market in developing and launching new models, higher quality and lower running costs.
