GSI, located in Gallese (Vt,) installs a second high-performance, low-consumption kiln to support its expansion plans based on quality, automation and respect for the environment. A winning choice strengthening and continuing its all-round collaboration with the SACMI Group.
GSI (Gruppo Sanitari Italia) continues to grow in terms of production capacity, quality, sustainability. Working alongside the Gallese-based company - especially during the plant renovation following a fire which struck the factory in 2022 - SACMI recently supplied a second shuttle kiln, model HWS REKO, complete with automatic car movement system and already set up for further automation of the loading and unloading stages.
With the new investment GSI recognizes the superior performance of this type of kiln, especially from the point of view of quality and reduced energy consumption. Equipped with self-recuperative burners, HWS REKO significantly lowers gas consumption, with optimized firing curves for precise and versatile control of products and complex production mixes.
The installed kiln joins its “twin” solution already in operation for several years, with the addition of all the recent management and control systems available on the latest generation HWS machines – a standard-setter on the market within SACMI-Riedhammer’s range of high-performance ceramic sanitaryware kilns. Furthermore, the new burners are already set up to work with hydrogen.
