RAK Porcelain starts up second SACMI-SAMA NCC2

Recent prize-winner at the Ambiente fair in Frankfurt, RAK Porcelain extends its product range by installing a second SACMI-SAMA machine for jiggering cups and saucers; a high production solution equipped with double automatic finishing station

Specialized in high-end tableware for the Ho.Re.Ca sector, Rak Porcelain grows its machine fleet with the installation of a second SACMI-SAMA solution dedicated to the manufacture of cups and saucers. The new machine recently started up and commissioned at the Ras-Al-Khaimah production plant is a latest generation NCC2 jiggering solution with high production output.

Equipped with 2 heads and 124 moulds, the machine can make pieces having a max. height of 150 mm, with output of up to 1200 pieces/hour according to the shape and size. High production output is the main advantage of this solution which, in addition to the two jiggering heads, also includes a leather-hard drier. Here the item ages before being de-moulded to move on to sponging and the operations to stick on the cup handle.

The entire process is automated, from loading of the pieces of clay to mould handling operations, to leather-hard drying, demoulding and transfer of the pieces to the 2 automatic finishing stations. As with all SACMI machines, NCC2 is equipped with software for remote assistance, troubleshooting and monitoring plant performance.

With this new solution SACMI-SAMA continues to support the expansion projects of Rak Porcelain, recent prize-winner at the Ambiente fair in Frankfurt for its new rakEARTH range; a top-quality collection combining traditional Mediterranean shapes and modern design.
