SACMI @ Pharmapack 2025

SACMI @ Pharmapack 2025

Innovation and sustainability in pharmaceutical packaging. Paris, from 22 to 23 January 2025 (Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles)

As a leading packaging technology provider, SACMI is set to play a pivotal role at Pharmapack 2025, a key event being held in Paris on 22 and 23 January (Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles). The company will be showcasing innovative primary packaging solutions. These will focus on multi-line and multi-material cap assembly technologies by SACMI-Velomat and on the latest stretch-blowing and compression processes for container production (SACMI LBF). The result: a huge step towards a sustainable, turnkey approach to managing pharmaceutical packaging.

Cap assembly: the SACMI-Velomat range

The original solutions presented by SACMI-Velomat are designed to address the challenges posed by the complexity of modern dispensers and caps and ensure outstanding production versatility.
Velomat's electronic assembly technology enables fast production changeovers and streamlines operational efficiency. By deploying linear motors and servomotors, this technology doesn’t just reduce operating costs: thanks to advanced control and vision systems, it also improves assembly quality. Hence the unique blend of optimized performance and low environmental impact, in line with current industry ambitions.

In a world increasingly focused on sustainability, SACMI stands out for its ability to provide solutions that align with the principles of a circular economy. Caps developed by SACMI-Velomat not only meet the strict quality standards required by the pharmaceutical industry but are also designed to facilitate recycling, thus reducing waste. A response, then, not just to stringent environmental regulations but also a crucial opportunity for companies in the sector to sharpen their competitiveness and simultaneously shrink their environmental footprint.

Containers: LBF, the ‘linear’ evolution of compression and stretch-blow molding

With the development of its Linear Blow Forming (LBF) project, SACMI introduces a new linear container production process that optimizes the efficiency of the various stages of manufacturing. This state-of-the-art technology combines compression production of preforms – a technology in which SACMI leads the world – with the subsequent stretch-blow molding stage, all in one extremely efficient system.

With Linear Blow Forming, SACMI sets a new standard for container production: the system is designed to maximize efficiency, reduce energy consumption and ensure high quality thanks to the comprehensive range of SACMI CVSystem computer vision devices. Excellent modularity means LBF can operate up to 6 cavities, doubling output per cavity compared to traditional technologies: this can take production as high as 30 million containers per year.

What’s more, LBF allows fast format changeovers, optimizing versatility and quality control. These advantages make LBF technology ideal for the pharmaceutical industry and other sectors that demand precision, sustainability and high output capacities.

SACMI, taking pharmaceutical packaging into the future

Exhibiting at Pharmapack gives SACMI a valuable opportunity to interact directly with industry leaders, exchange ideas and build strategic partnerships. At the stand, SACMI's experts will be on hand to provide detailed info on these groundbreaking solutions and discuss emerging trends in pharmaceutical packaging. A not-to-be-missed opportunity to see the latest technology by SACMI and SACMI-Velomat: technology designed to help the packaging industry transition to a greener future with a unique turnkey solution for pharma.

We look forward to seeing you at the fair from 22 to 23 January 2025 in Paris (Hall 7.2, stand C33)!
