SACMI at Ceramics China

All the latest technology on show, from forming to complete plants: all with a focus on versatility, ultra-high speeds and low consumption.

SACMI will once again be attending the international Ceramics China fair (19-22 June 2023, Canton Fair Complex, Guangzhou), which is expected to attract over 100,000 visitors and 700 global manufacturing and technology brands.
The extensive SACMI exhibition area – 400 m2, Hall 3.1 (International Hall), stand C239 – has been designed to help customers learn about the main technological innovations, starting with the forming processes in which SACMI has been undisputed world leader for over 70 years.
In particular, Continua+ is SACMI's flagship solution in China, with 40 lines shipped in 2022 alone. The recently expanded Continua+ family is designed to operate with low specific consumption (just 0.05 kWh/m2), 90% less oil than a traditional or discontinuous press, and a bare minimum of waste (less than 1.5% compacted waste), all of which be recycled back into the line.
Note that SACMI recently expanded the range with the launch of the PCR 2120, the ‘smartest’ in the category: offering the same speeds as its ‘big sisters’, it’s decidedly more compact, the two-feeder version measuring just 18.2 meters.
Continua+ advantages include perfect manufacturing coordination on slabs and sub-sizes, motor-powered changeovers, plus integration with cutting solutions and SACMI Deep Digital decoration devices.
The comprehensive SACMI plant engineering range on show at Ceramics China will include some truly outstanding solutions, such as SACMI MMC modular grinding mills and ATM spray dryers; these are designed to reduce consumption and deliver body preparation processes of outstanding quality and repeatability, a must for a great final product.
To complete the offering, new configurations of the ‘Maestro’ kiln range will be displayed: from the world’s best-selling modulated air-gas FMA to the new FMD, which features digital control of recipes and even more sophisticated firing control. All SACMI kilns are designed to maximize performance (both in quality and in consumption) according to the specific product to be fired and have dedicated features for large slabs.
SACMI, first on the market, pays particular attention to improving the environmental features of the ceramic process, with research activities aimed at guiding the conversion towards greener technologies, from Hydrogen to the electrification of all the thermal machines involved in the ceramic process.
SACMI Sanitaryware & Tableware is also set to play a starring role at Ceramics China: automation has gone from strength to strength and there has been a steady stream of investment from the industry’s leading players. High-pressure casting and robotic glazing for sanitaryware, isostatic pressing and pressure casting for tableware are SACMI hallmarks worldwide, as are automatic handling (laser-guided vehicles) and the high-efficiency SACMI-Riedhammer kilns. In addition to reducing manual tasks, SACMI's robotic sanitaryware and tableware solutions boost process quality and repeatability, all in synergy with new systems that optimize use of raw materials by reducing scrap and recycling it back into the process.
Last but not least, a special mention to SACMI Nanhai, which has been a vital hub for the Chinese market for more than thirty years, with its team of over 350 people supporting customers at every stage, from design and testing to after-sales services.
