Quality of business,
quality of life

SACMI is an international industrial group with a clear commitment: to improve everyone’s quality of life with highly innovative technological solutions that deliver sustainable production processes.

Sustainability has been our hallmark since 1919, when we were founded as a cooperative focused on skill and efficiency: we still are, making us pioneers of the sustainable factory.

Sustainability,
sector by sector

At SACMI, we design and build machines and plants that consume less energy, recycle raw materials, use clean energy and reduce emissions.

Manufacturers choose SACMI plants to make their factories more sustainable, opening the door to real change: it’s up to us.

Our ESG strategy

(Environmental, Social, Governance)

We aim to lead by example, starting with our own sustainable factory.

Every day, SACMI renews its commitment to improving ESG* performance in every area: from limiting the environmental impact of our production plants to nurturing the skills of every member of personnel.

*standard ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards)

At SACMI we’ve reduced our environmental footprint: today we consume less energy and less water. We’ve optimized waste and emissions controls. And we have no intention of stopping there.

Measuring
sustainability

SACMI assesses its sustainability performance according to internationally recognized criteria and standards.

In 2003 SACMI began publishing a Social Audit. This has since become the Integrated Annual Report, a single document illustrating results from economic, environmental and social perspectives.

The report is drawn up according to ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards) guidelines.

Certified quality
and responsibility

SACMI has obtained the following international certification: a management system as per ISO 14001, integrating it with the ISO 9001 and IS0 45001 worker safety quality systems.
The parent company, SACMI Imola, has an Integrated Management System that complies with:

  • UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 – Quality
  • UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 – Environment
  • UNI ISO 45001:2018 – Health and Safety

In 2022, SACMI created the Quality, Safety, Environment and Corporate Sustainability framework. A Quality Certification project is now under way, its aim being to obtain UNI ISO 9001 certification for all Italian sites by the end of 2026.
