Ceramica Cielo is the first company in the Civita Castellana district to have invested in SACMI RobotClean technology for the robotic finishing of sanitaryware. Already in production following several months of prototype testing, this solution has definitely lived up to expectations: so much so, in fact, that the company is already planning a repeat purchase for this year.
But why choose SACMI RobotClean? Well, health and safety is a crucial factor since, during white finishing operations carried out by the robot, workers will not be exposed to harmful dust. Furthermore, with the solution supplied to Ceramica Cielo, the finishing station is equipped with an additional handling robot for automatic control of the loading-unloading stages.
There are also several technological advantages: developed to ‘think like a human’ and faithfully reproduce the tasks that workers traditionally did by hand, RobotClean tools allow for integrated control of on-piece force compensation. Additionally, offline programming software allowing efficient, flexible management of finishing recipes for different articles and their various parts (exterior, interior, rim, etc.).
The tools are equipped with specially designed abrasive elements while a ‘water curtain’ suction system and suitable filters aid the removal of residual dust, ensuring the robot work area is kept clean at all times.
