SACMI @ Revestir 2025: ‘extreme’ efficiency

SACMI Easy Factory set to take center-stage at São Paulo Expo, to be held from 10 to 14 March 2025. On show: the latest technological and plant engineering solutions that deliver hyper-productivity, outstanding technical-aesthetic quality, and process control. Plus, of course, a full array of assistance and support from the SACMI Do Brasil team

At Revestir 2025, SACMI will be showcasing the new Easy Factory, a combination of hyper-productivity, sustainability, and process control. The world's third-largest ceramic tile manufacturer, Brazil is tackling some of the industry’s biggest challenges, and SACMI is playing a key role in terms of the quantity and quality of the projects completed there.

Easy Factory / Hyper-productivity

SACMI is taking ceramic plant efficiency to the extreme. For example, all Continua+ models are now available in an all-new ‘hyper-speed’ configuration that boosts productivity to over 30,000 square meters of ceramic slabs or tiles per day.
This is a major opportunity for the Brazilian market. Over the years, the country has seen a steady increase in machine size, from body preparation units to the latest, increasingly long Maestro kilns with intakes as wide as 3,650 mm.
Being able to replace two traditional lines with one high-productivity, high-efficiency line could be a game changer that streamlines new projects, ensures a faster ROI and accelerates product innovation.
With this latest range, SACMI also aims to support the increasing number of Brazilian manufacturers who are adding porcelain stoneware to their range by using wet grinding – a technology in which SACMI leads the world – and high-tonnage presses.

Easy Factory / Process control

The other mainstays of the SACMI Easy Factory are digitalization and process control. These provide major benefits on the sustainability front, as exemplified by SACMI-Italvision’s new, comprehensive set of vision systems. Solutions such as Flawmaster+, One Vision and Optima Kiln are just some of the systems that - at every stage of production - are driving the digital evolution of machines, with sophisticated feedback control ensuring optimal parameters at all times.
Further opportunities are provided by new Line Managers that help workers run multiple interconnected machines or departments from a single workstation.

‘Full digital’ decoration and finishing

Brazil was one of the earliest adopters of Deep Digital, a set of SACMI solutions for dry and wet digital decoration. More and more of the industry’s leading players are going for a ‘full digital’ configuration featuring a coordinated sequence of DDG, DHD and DDG machines. The result: unparalleled textural-material and aesthetic effects, plus all the advantages of integrated digital graphics control with the LINE UP optical synchro-aligner.
Finishing is always a key strength of the SACMI ceramic surface engineering range, with manufacturers able to rely on a broad range of BMR lapping, polishing, cutting and squaring technologies. Already Brazil’s top provider of finishing solutions, BMR further developed its range in 2024, the goal being to maximize operational flexibility, sharpen process control, integrate mechatronics, vision systems and AI, and optimize tool consumption thanks to the use of digital controls.

Sanitaryware and tableware: new ‘tesserae’ in the SACMI automation mosaic

The world’s leading provider of individual machines and complete plants for Sanitaryware and Tableware, SACMI will, at Revestir, showcase an even broader portfolio of solutions that meets every production, storage and logistics need. For example, in the Tableware sector SACMI has added the Lippert range, offering solutions that focus on machine interconnection, from forming to glazing and automatic kiln loading.
Plants are increasingly automated. This evolution is being driven by a combination of product intralogistics and the introduction of technologies that improve process circularity and working conditions. This is why, in the Sanitaryware sector, SACMI provides - alongside its tried and tested casting, robotic glazing and firing solutions - new, exclusive systems for wastewater treatment, waste recovery and automatic unfired/fired finishing.

Revamping, direct production and technical assistance

The world’s largest installed machine pool and the need to elevate the industry to new standards of sustainability and efficiency has led SACMI to upgrade its revamping packages for existing machines and plants. Designed and coordinated by the SACMI technical team, these packages let manufacturers achieve significant energy savings while boosting machine performance and raising quality and overall process reliability.
Combining these solutions with technical assistance - provided by SACMI Do Brasil in Mogi Mirim and the Rio Claro technical hub, which offers vital support for SACMI customers both in Brazil and throughout South America – is a key part of helping the industry adopt new, higher-performance technologies. Thanks to a 14-strong Tiles technical assistance team, customers can count on the highest level of support for their machines.
Also a center for the direct production of kilns and dryers, SACMI Do Brasil recently strengthened its mold supply and regeneration service, in collaboration with SACMI Molds&Dies and a leading local partner. The result: a comprehensive service with full availability of crucial, original consumables and spare parts.
