''Next Ceramics'' by SACMI in the spotlight in Poland

The present and future of technology for the ceramic industry. This was the topic discussed in Smardzewice, Poland, at a symposium organised by SACMI and dedicated to key players in the ceramic industry, not only in Poland but also in neighbouring countries (Ukraine, Czech Republic, Belarus, etc.).

Specifically, four topics were on the agenda on 6 June, which attracted the interest of the large number of participating operators at Hotel Molo: new solutions for the production of large slabs, increased quality and efficiency for kilns, new ideas for smart factories and Industry 4.0 solutions and last SACMI technologies for Sanitaryware & Tableware.

As a leading global player with CONTINUA+ technology for the production of large decorated ceramic slabs, SACMI supplies the industry with innovations in the field of the IoT, completely digitising decoration and glazing lines and constantly focusing on reducing consumption and emissions, with a view to providing increasingly smart, customised, just-in-time solutions for ceramic production in the future.

SACMI has applied these principles, in parallel, to the Sanitaryware & Tableware sector, from total line automation – with pressure casting technology that has made the company a world leader – to functionality digital simulations and 4.0 modelling.

The high attendance rate at the event is a further indication of SACMI’s role as a benchmark company offering cutting-edge technologies for the ceramic industry, especially in highly advanced, quality-conscious markets such as Europe. For SACMI, it was also an opportunity to introduce yet another cornerstone of the ceramic smart factory, which ranges from production flow reengineering to enhancing after-sales services, with customised solutions and digital services designed to support clients from the design phase to when the machine’s or system’s useful life ends.

In particular, clients in the area can rely on the presence of SACMI Polska, founded in 2002 in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, in the heart of the Polish ceramic district, which serves the Polish, Ukrainian and Belarusian markets. Thanks to its team of specialists and to its 1,000-square-metre machine and spare parts warehouse, SACMI offers clients excellent support throughout the supply process.
