AARYA: SACMI CCM TECHNOLOGY AND LONG-TERM INDUSTRIAL VISION

AARYA: SACMI CCM TECHNOLOGY AND LONG-TERM INDUSTRIAL VISION

Aarya was founded in India in 2019 by third-generation entrepreneurs with the aim of producing high-quality packaging for the beverage industry. The company's core business is the manufacture of closures, PET preforms and heat-shrink films, with end-to-end solutions developed entirely around customer needs.
Led by Jaydeep Patel, Managing Director, the company is a great example of a solid family business that has decided to diversify by entering the beverage packaging sector. Recognizing the latter’s excellent growth potential, the company has made bold forward-looking decisions that have consolidated its reputation and market positioning.

Entering the industry

“In 2019, we made a strategic decision to diversify our product portfolio by introducing preforms, closures and films,” explains Mr. Patel. Packaging was an all-new area for the company, but growing demand for bottled water and soft drinks confirmed the soundness of the investment. “We saw the potential of the market and committed to it wholeheartedly,” he emphasizes.
Production began with entry-level systems and limited resources. However, the experience gained in those early years highlighted the need for a major technological upgrade to ensure consistent quality and production efficiency in keeping with long-term strategy. Aarya thus decided on SACMI's CCM (Continuous Compression Molding) technology, a decision that Patel describes as “a key turning point in ensuring stability, growth and future solidity.”

Entering the industry

Strategical breakthrough and performance gains with SACMI CCM

With previous technologies, Aarya experienced “frequent production stoppages” and was constantly at risk of closure performance issues on bottling customers’ filling lines. This situation limited the ability to supply large volumes on a continuous basis. The introduction of the CCM48SD press, integrated with the SFM12LD and the CVS in-line vision system, has radically transformed operations. “Today, we’re fully confident that every closure will perform reliably on our customers' filling lines,” says Mr. Patel. On the current lines, productivity is “as high as 1,900 caps per minute,” thanks in part to exclusive SACMI solutions that range from the Cool+® mold to the new UniAqua™ mold, which delivers greater flexibility when adapting to new designs and market requirements.
The result: better operational continuity, process stability and consistent quality.

New tools for building competitiveness

On a highly competitive market like beverage closures, Mr. Patel identifies two crucial factors: “Maximizing the scale of production and maintaining consistently high quality” are essential to the long-term sustainability of investment. Hence the decision to go with CCM, considered the market’s most reliable, highest-performing technology.
An additional advantage of CCM is that it guarantees compliance with globally acknowledged production standards: “Our bottling customers benefit from consistent quality, less in-line waste and near-zero machine downtime,” explains Mr. Patel.

A long-term partnership

Thanks to CCM technology, Aarya has achieved a huge technological leap, laying a solid foundation for structured, sustainable growth. The Aarya plant at the heart of the project is fully dedicated to the production of closures and has been designed to ensure future scalability. The goal is to strengthen its market presence by installing additional CCM lines and working with emerging local bottlers, who represent a significant share of the Indian bottled water market.
For Aarya, SACMI is “more than just a technology provider.” Support is provided at every stage of the project, from start-up to after-sales service and spare parts, with customers able to count on an India-based workshop and application team. “This gives us the certainty that SACMI is always at our side, inside the plant and beyond,” concludes Mr. Patel.
