The place: SACMI Imola. The date: 24 September 2018. The event: the 12th Sanitaryware Industry Technological Trends meeting, the now-traditional event that, on the eve of the international Tecnargilla fair, gives selected visitors and customers a presentation of the best from SACMI Sanitaryware, with live demonstrations and previews of the main technological and plant engineering developments showcased in Rimini.
More specifically, this edition of the meeting will see the inauguration of the new pilot plant in the Sanitaryware laboratory. It will also showcase a new machine pool that will permanently boost the capacity of this facility, which provides customers with vital support. During the visit you can, among other things, see casting demonstrations with an AVI cell for the manufacture of a WC modelled with IN/OUT technology; you'll also have the opportunity to see other items - modelled with SACMI's latest technology - being cast.
There are also major developments in the modelling department where SACMI recently inaugurated the CAD/CAM machining centre for the automated production of case moulds, supports and moulds. Also on show will be the new Qualitrack module for 3D aesthetic-size inspection of sanitaryware articles. Furthermore, visiting customers will have the opportunity to see the historic SACMI resin department where resin moulds have been manufactured since 1980.
Later, in the afternoon, there will be a guided tour of other examples of local excellence. This year we've scheduled a visit to the Ducati Motors plant in Bologna, a trip perfectly in keeping with this edition's "Go Fast, Go Future" slogan which highlights speed and innovation, characteristics shared by both SACMI and Ducati. From here the delegation will head for FICO Eataly World, the world's largest agri-food park, 10 hectares showcasing the best of Italian biodiversity and cuisine.
