A second glazing robot just commissioned. Production rises to 1.5 million pieces of top quality sanitaryware, mainly destined for export. Alongside this growth, the Turkish company also launches new brand Quater Bath.
Present on the Turkish market for almost 30 years, Bartin Seramik has continued to invest in latest-generation SACMI RobotGlaze technology to proceed with its plan for expansion and modernization of its headquarters based near the city of the same name in the north-east of the country.
As with the first complete solution supplied in 2018, the second glazing robot is also provided with all the necessary features designed to guarantee top quality of the glazed piece, optimization of glaze consumption and the possibility to speed up the development of new products thanks to off-line programming.
In particular, the twin robot supplied, GA2000 SAMA-Gaiotto, is equipped with the new dry filtering technology which makes it possible to recover the overspray and optimize management of water resources. Furthermore, the supply also included the patented Mass Control® system for controlling the quantity and flow-rate of the glaze delivered, and the zero maintenance GDA80 spray-gun, which has enjoyed great success on the international market.
Especially effective in terms of automation and total process control, SACMI RobotGlaze technology has proved particularly valuable for customers when glazing innovative design items such as the modern rimless WCs.
Tested and started-up with success, the new robot will help Bartin achieve its production plans which could, when operating at full capacity, reach 1.5 million pieces per year of various items according to the production mix (total production is now 1.2 million pieces/yr). Already well-established both in Turkey and abroad with its Alvit brand, Bartin Seramik has also recently launched the new Quater Bath brand to diversify and further extend its range of high-end top quality products.
