All the latest primary and secondary packaging solutions for produce market to be showcased at the international Berlin fair (5-7 April 2022). Range-wide key features include outstanding versatility, fast format changeovers and low running-maintenance costs.
SACMI Packaging & Chocolate will soon be heading to Berlin to showcase its range of complete primary and secondary packaging systems for produce market. The industry’s biggest European event, Fruit Logistica 2022 (BerlinExpo Center, 5-7 April) is expected to draw over 3,300 exhibitors and 72,000 visitors from 91 countries.
The ‘stars’ of the SACMI stand (hall 4.1 A - 10) will be secondary packaging solutions from SACMI Packaging & Chocolate’s Tray Forming Division, a range of complete forming machines for boxes and trays that feature exceptional versatility and fast format changeovers.
Taking center-stage will be the TF40 Imola, which makes platforms and trays with reinforced corners. With an output rate of up to 40 pcs/min, this solution adapts to a wide variety of box forming needs. Outstanding size changeover efficiency stems from the use of an adjustable mold; this speeds up changeovers and lowers costs for non-standard formats.
Alongside the TF40 stands the new high-performance TF80 L small tray former. This can run at speeds as high as 140 pcs/min and has extensive, diversified applications across the fruit and vegetable sector. With its dual forming head, this solution offers outstandingly versatile configuration (note the dual chain and press drives with brushless motor), making fast format changes easy and ensuring seamless adaptability to trays of different shapes and sizes, including those with integrated lids. Then, of course, there’s the high-autonomy automatic warehouse (up to 1,500 pieces) with automatic vertical positioning of both corrugated and compact cardboard blanks.
Visitors to Fruit Logistica will also have an opportunity to get a close look at the GD25A, the automatic-size-changeover version of the machine that forms and assembles corrugated cardboard platform trays. It offers a highly compact footprint and, once again, great flexibility thanks to the automatically adjustable forming mold.
To complete the machines on show at Fruit Logistica, a primary packaging solution will also be on display: the HPS20 flowpack machine. Featuring fully electronic control, this SACMI machine has been designed around the need to reduce and optimize operating and maintenance costs: hence, alongside the automation and control logics, outstanding configurability to match the product type being made.
Noteworthy HPS20 features include the automatic in-line tray feed system, with work rates (i.e. wrapping material feed speeds) of up to 150 packs per minute. Combining efficiency and application versatility, this proposal completes SACMI Packaging & Chocolate’s medium-speed range.
Together with its excellent reputation, outstanding technology and innovation, the SACMI Packaging & Chocolate range comes with far-reaching technical and sales assistance, especially in the DACH area (Germany, Austria and Switzerland): the assistance team is headed by Herbert Hahnenkamp from the operational headquarters in Neuhausen am Rheinfall.
We look forward to meeting you at Fruit Logistica 2022, Hall 4.1 A – 10, BerlinExpo Center, on 5-7 April.
