Bag In Box packages are ideal for exporting wine, vegetable oils, water, juices, coffee and other food and non-food liquids as they ensure outstanding quality at advantageous prices. With this recent sale to Deutsche Extrakt Kaffee GmbH - a major German group in the coffee sector - Sacmi has strengthened its role as a global supplier of high-productivity, flexible, efficient BIB filling and packaging solutions that guarantee the best possible product quality.
Featuring unue compactness, efficiency and process hygiene, Sacmi's aseptic rotary fillers can handle a wide range of formats, with very high productivity. As is the case with the solution that Sacmi Packaging recently developed (as part of the new range of automatic and semi-automatic LINEAR AF and LINEAR AS aseptic fillers) for this German company to fill and pack liquid coffee concentrate in 1, 2 and 20-litre bags.
Delivered at the end of 2016, the new semi-automatic LINEAR AS filler is made entirely of stainless steel (AISI 304 and AISI 316L for parts in contact with the product). Supplied by Sacmi with a rapid size changeover system, the machine can be used with all commercially available press valve caps. Filling is controlled by a mass flow measurer, while all uncapping, filling and capping tasks take place inside the filling chamber where a constant flow of sterile air keeps the protected area aseptic.
Sacmi is, then, responding to the most recent BIB manufacturing and market trends by providing a broad range of complete solutions that also includes the latest-generation filling monoblocs designed to handle one-step bag opening, aseptic filling, box forming and closing: solutions that are fully automated and specifically sized to meet every possible production need.
