COLORA CAP, the revolutionary Sacmi-developed cap digital printing solution, has won the acclaim of ENPI (Emirates Natural Plastic Industry), the huge, multi-faceted industrial Group that is, in this Gulf State, pivotal to the production and sale of plastics solutions for the beverage industry.
Already a major Sacmi customer in the area (with no less than 6 CCM production lines installed for the manufacture of water and CSD caps), ENPI has now purchased, via its Future Plast Business Unit, the latest cap digital decoration machine after seeing it in action during the 3-day Gulfood Manufacturing fair, the international event held last November in the prestigious setting of the Dubai World Trade Center.
Future Plast - already well positioned for the supply of personalised solutions to large hotel chains - has set itself an ambitious goal. The challenge: to produce decorated caps for water bottles, personalised with the individual logos of the hotels. With the new COLORA, nothing could be simpler: Sacmi has developed this machine with the explicit aim of making the most of all the promotional potential of the cap; the latest version in the range can store up to 10 million different logos, with unlimited colour coverage and minimum product/size changeover times.
Installed at the start of January, the new COLORA has just been successfully tested; this result has been achieved by intense work on the part of the Sacmi team to set up the machine and train Future Plast personnel. The customer is extremely satisfied with the results. As of today, this Gulf company will be able to produce decorated caps (with the guarantee of a one-year exclusive within the entire GECT region) across the full standard product range of water and CSD caps.
The medium-term goal for Future Plast is to enter the soft drinks market, still a niche in this area yet one with big margins and the potential for significant growth. Already equipped to decorate 38 mm caps for soft drinks (energy drinks, juices etc.), the new COLORA will be able to smooth new investment choices on the part of the customer company, immediately enabling it to offer a high-grade service (decoration of all cap types) for all main customers.
While the new COLORA offers many advantages, its outstanding versatility is particularly noteworthy. Moreover, the ability to cope with a virtually unlimited number of digital cap decoration logos and images is combined with high productivity (600 caps per minute, up to 36,000 caps an hour) and ultra-rapid changeover times (less than 30 minutes to switch from still water caps to CSD caps): in short, a single technological solution that covers every possible decoration need downstream from cap production.
