The world's third biggest market for SACMI Closures&Containers solutions and a key sales area for the entire SACMI Beverage range, Mexico is expected to attract over 15,000 professionals to Expo Pack Guadalajara 2017, the most important packaging and processing fair being held in the country this year. The event will take place from 13th to 15th June in the same-named capital city of Jalisco State, a region known for its high levels of industrialisation and foreign investment.
With a strong, long-standing presence in the country (SACMI de Mexico was established over 25 years ago), the Group will be at Expo Pack Guadalajara with its own 30 m2 stand (n° 1208). Here, visitors will be able to get a close look at SACMI's complete plant engineering and technology range, which includes numerous new products and services designed for Industry 4.0.
Platforms such as SACMI heroLine beverage (the hub of which is the new CPB dynamic buffer for caps and preforms) focus, in fact, on total plant integration. The goal? To merge and make the very most of SACMI's cutting-edge injection technology (preform manufacture), its world-leading compression technology (for the manufacture of plastic caps) and its complete bottling lines.
While the main outlet market for cap and preform production plants still consists of converters, there is growing interest in vertically integrated solutions designed to enhance efficiency and optimise costs and logistics. Such solutions are often configured door-to-door, where the 'packaging' is managed by the converter at the end user's plants.
Alongside a new way of conceiving production and plant layout, SACMI also offers a new perspective on service. Advanced on-plant sensors capable of providing real-time feedback on every aspect of production, latest-generation line supervisors (such as SACMI H.E.R.E., High Efficiency Resource Optimizer) and optimisation of energy consumption are a common thread running through all Group solutions.
Last but not least come the filling, labelling and secondary packaging stages, aided by robotized handling and end-of-line solutions and the advanced quality control systems developed by the Group's Automation & Inspection Systems Division.
Once again, then, SACMI places its confidence in the dynamic Central American beverage and packaging market, characterised by burgeoning demand for integrated solutions that respond to the needs of both bottlers and converters. With SACMI De Mexico – which has a 60-strong technical/sales team – the Group also provides further added value in the form of a swift spare parts and assistance service and close customer support right from the design phase.
